This is now one of my favorite historical fiction books. I really enjoyed how well written and very descriptive it was. I felt like I was there tasting the dust. This book takes place in 1934 during the dust bowl in the panhandle of Texas. We follow the Martinelli family throughout the book. There are three generations of women, and each have their way of fighting through these hard time. The characters are well developed, and intriguing. Three strong women that show their endurance through struggles. Their story is heartwarming and heart breaking all at the same time. The world in 1936 and the world in 2023 seems like a vast time frame, but this book shows that the fight for equal rights is still the same. Be Brave…
