Welcome to The Shelf Life. This site was created to connect with others in the book community. I love to talk about what I am reading, what you are reading, and what we are excited to read next! We also chat about New Book Releases, ARC’s, book related news, Author interviews an Events. As for me, I usually gravitate towards psychological, mystery, thrillers, suspense, true crime, romance and contemporary. I have been known to dive into a historical fiction, biographies, YA and some spooky horror vibes from time to time. So, let’s face it, there really isn’t much I wouldn’t read. I’m here for it all!
My Love of Books…
I think that like most young children, I loved books. It was in my late 20’s to early 30’s that I really fell back into it. Realizing that when you open a book, you are no longer in your own reality. Then I found other co-workers, friends, family that had read or were reading the same books! We started to discuss them on a regular basis. I looked to see if I could find a book club like this online, but I could not find what I was looking for. So I turned on my heels and… I made one for all of us!
The Avid, High Volume Book Reader…
Yes, that is me 🙋🏻♀️. I am very fortunate to now have the time to read… A LOT. 📚📚 So now I do just that… read and listen 🎧 to books. I know that most people are not able to get through 13 books a month. But if its just one book, Great job!!
The Book Club Reader...
People that are in book clubs usually have time within that month to read that one book. If you feel like you need another book for the month, We have two book clubs. Feel free to join both. I like the fact that both groups are very different genres. If neither of those book picks are for you, take a look at our TBR List and there maybe something there. We would love that!
What Andrea is currently reading
I am a high volume reader. I will always have a new book in my hands. I do read ARC’s (Advanced Readers Copy) so some of the books may not be released at the time of reading. Check the banner on the book to see when the publication date is. I will also make sure that you can see it in the New Releases page. Then be sure to check out our book reviews and our TBR Lists.
